Chocolate Crinkles



1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 (1 ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup confectioners' sugar

1. Mix oil, chocolate, and granulated sugar.

2. Blend in one egg at a time until well mixed. Add vanilla.

3. Stir flour, baking powder and salt into oil mixture.

4. Chill several hours or overnight.

5. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).

6. Drop by teaspoonfuls into confectioners' sugar.

7. Roll in sugar; shape into balls and place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes (do not overbake).
